Where does Ohio’s marijuana come from?

All Ohio marijuana products sold in license dispensaries is sourced from Ohio licensed cultivation and manufacturing facilities. These facilities are carefully regulated by the Ohio Department of Cannabis Control and must follow strict guidelines to ensure product safety. Dispensaries may not acquire marijuana products from any source other than the licensed and regulated facilities.


What marijuana products are permitted in Ohio?

A variety of products are available to Ohio patients including flower, edibles, oils, tinctures, concentrates, and patches.


What do I need in order to purchase at Greenlight?

If you are an Ohio resident and have a qualifying medical condition, you will be eligible to apply for an Ohio medical marijuana card (see Qualifying Conditions below). You’ll need to obtain a medical marijuana recommendation from a registered physician and submit a patient application to the State Board of Pharmacy.

For non-medical consumers, Ohio is now offers purchase to those 21 years and older with a valid, state-issued ID (any state). Upon arrival at one of our dispensaries, please be prepared to show your ID (including patient card, if medical) as you will need to provide it throughout your purchase process. The expectation is all Ohio cannabis purchased at a licensed dispensary will be consumed solely within Ohio state boundaries. Consumption while driving is illegal in all states.


How MUCH can I purchase?

As of June 4, 2025, non-medical adults 21+ may purchase and possess up to 2.5 oz of vaporization-ready flower and up to 15,000 mg THC daily from non‑plant cannabis products, from licensed dispensaries. For example: a 500 mg vape cartridge plus a 100 mg edible counts as 600 mg toward your 15,000 mg limit.

As of May 2025,  Medical patients remain under a 90-day supply system, which varies by product type, and are not subject to the above recreational daily limits.


Is Greenlight wintersville approved for non-medical purchase?

Yes! Our Wintersville dispensary now serves both medical and non-medical customers.


If I Place an online Order, can someone else pick up my order for me?

Per Ohio’s state regulations, only individual’s placing an online order may pick up their order. The only exception to this rule is in the case of individuals who are registered as a Caregiver (see explanation below) to an Ohio-registered medical patient.


If I Place an online Order, Can you ship or deliver my order?

No. At this time Greenlight does not provide delivery services within the state of Ohio. Shipping or or delivering of marijuana across state lines is federally illegal.


How do I get an Ohio Medical Marijuana Card?

What is a Caregiver?

A caregiver is a person who provides basic assistance to a medical marijuana patient. This often involves helping the patient obtain and administer their medicine but can involve any number of other activities in which the patient may require some additional support due to their medical condition. Under Ohio law, the patient may designate a caregiver who may visit the dispensary and make purchases on the patient’s behalf.


How do I appoint a caregiver?

A caregiver will be required to be certified through a recommending physician and pay the license registration through the State Board of Pharmacy.


Are patients or non-medical consumers permitted to cultivate medical marijuana?

No. Ohio’s marijuana laws prohibit home cultivation.


How much medical Marijuana are patients permitted to purchase?

Patients may purchase up to 45-days worth of Medical Marijuana per 45-day Fill cycle. For more information on allotments and supply usage, please visit: www.medicalmarijuana.ohio.gov


As a medical patient, How will my privacy be protected?

Patient records will be maintained by your doctor and the State Board of Pharmacy. Strict rules protect the privacy of these records, including the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996. Your identity and patient status in the medical marijuana program may never be disclosed to anyone without your prior authorization. We take patient privacy very seriously are will gladly answer any questions or concerns you have about this important issue.
